I forgot to mention one major detail in my last post! We arrived in Ethiopia on the morning of March 25th and were able to be there for Sophie's first birthday! I brought cupcakes (they got smushed traveling), balloons, and bubbles and we spent the afternoon playing and having a little birthday party. It meant so much to me to be there.
We had cake and cupcakes back here in the US too. Happy 1st Birthday Sophia Eftu Lukowitz!!
